Industrial Informatics, Inc. was contracted to provide a custom software solution that automated the time consuming manual task of calculating material usage for customer specific product sizes. The system had to be available to multiple users with varying levels of access based on security policies defined on a corporate active directory server.

 We designed a completely web-based solution written in Microsoft's ASP.Net running on the IIS server with SQL Server as a back-end data repository. Parameters were collected directly from SAP as orders arrived and reported back when results were calculated. The system allowed configured users to run production simulations based on test product profiles. The complete system continues to provide a 2.5% or 40,000 lb/month increase in yield.
