Industrial Informatics, Inc. is pleased to announce the startup of a lead smelter load compliance monitor for a major North American lead refinery. Industrial Informatics was chosen based on prior experience with a job we performed for the new assistant plant manager at his previous facility. Using our Conferax™ rev. 3.1 OPC communications library and Avizi™ rev. 1.7 alarm autodialer interface the system provides complete tracking of the refractory furnace loading for regulatory compliance monitoring as well as reporting capabilities.

 The system is a custom designed interface between the plant's SCADA system and their Loadrite payloader onboard weighing system. The SCADA system provides indications of new hopper loads to the furnace feed system, and the payloader weighing system provides accurate feed weight information. The two are reconciled against the plant's environmental regulatory limits, and the operators are notified via pager when permit limits are approached or exceeded. The system can support all modes of the installed Loadrite system for data collection.

 Our Avizi™ Alarm autodialer package provides SMTP and outbound call management facilities, allowing the facility operator to specify alarm conditions to monitor, and provides call progression from a configurable call-out list. The reporting module provides automatically generated end of shift, end of day, and end of month reports in PDF format for filing with the appropriate regulatory authorities. The production superintendents are relieved from collecting and organizing the required data from the underlying data structures.
