The customer was an European equipment supplier for the food processing industry that required a portable system showcasing the various technologies they provided for evaporation and distillation. They felt that an American style control system we appeal to the North American customer base. The system had to be configured on the fly to use multiple styles of sanitary heat exchangers.

 Industrial Informatics, Inc. designed a turn-key skid based system built around the Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) platform and the Enhanced PID / Autotune features. The E-PID allowed the customer to tune the system based on various configurations and production scenarios including broth concentration, protein recovery, and slaughter house waste reduction. The user could interface with the machine using RSView running on an Allen-Bradley PanelView.
