Industrial Informatics, Inc. provides flexible automation systems that allow your assembly lines to grow and change with your products. The combination of our background in data driven manufacturing and experience in assembly cell design allows us to implement dynamic manufacturing solutions.
Typical flex systems are built around an articulated, gantry, or SCARA robotic system that provides a machine structure with the maximum physical flexibility. Generally these systems are vision capable for inspection or position correction.
Each flex system contains a database server that stores every parameter required to operate the cell and collect
historical data relating to the work pieces and the
machine itself. Absolutely no settings, scaling
factors, or recipes are “hard-coded” into the
interface or controller. Each parameter is
accessible from the interface to a user with proper
security permissions. HMIs are professionally
designed to accurately depict the process in a way
that is clean and easy to follow.
System components are integrated using standardized control networks. The modularity of the system speeds repair and modification by eliminating chassis based hardware and complex wiring. Industrial Informatics, Inc. has experience with all leading control networks including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, DataHighway, Remote I/O, DeviceNet, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus,
GPIB, and CAN. Industrial Informatics, Inc. takes
the time to handle the detailed diagnostic
information provided by modern control network
devices. This allows maintenance personnel to
troubleshoot an issue from the HMI without the need
to view the source code or ladder logic.
