Industrial Informatics,
Inc. is a multi-vendor systems integrator focusing
on automatic control system design and
implementation for continuous process plants and on
assembly cell automation in the automotive industry.
We have broad experience in
design and installation of industrial process
control systems, manufacturing execution systems
(MES), SCADA systems, and implementation of database
driven manufacturing systems.
Industrial Informatics, Inc.’s design and
implementation methods are based on the Capability
Maturity Model standards first developed by the US
Government. This is a process of elicitation,
resulting in a design specification and acceptance
criteria specification, and then implementation and
testing.
In our process system installations we assess the
existing physical plant, plan the changes required
to integrate the new equipment into the existing
systems, and prepare an implementation plan for the
design review consisting of P&ID, process loop
control, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
Systems usually consist of multi-vendor equipment
specified and integrated for flow,
temperature,
pressure, and level control of all stages of the
target process.
Skills include Process, Mechanical, and Electrical
design, data and communications network planning,
SCADA and MES system design and implementation using
COTS systems specifically Wonderware, Intellution,
OSI, Factory Link, and Citect - as well as system
design using Visual Studio and MS-SQL server within
MS Windows environments and various design tools and
data platforms in Solaris, HPUX, TRU64, and Linux
including Informix, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
Industrial Informatics, Inc. is a member of the OPC
Foundation and ISA.
